Car, truck show to ride into Masontown Sunday
MASONTOWN – The Masontown Volunteer Fire Department will hold its seventh annual car and truck show on Sunday, May 6. Registration will start at 9 a.m. through 1 p.m., and there will be a cost for each vehicle. The first 150 to register will receive a dash plaque and a large goodie bag. Tickets will also be given out for a chance to win door prizes. This will be a judged show.
The vehicles will be judged on the following: paint/body, interior, engine compartment, chrome, wheels/tires and trunk, which will also include truck beds, hatches, rumble seats or anything that can be considered as a trunk area.
Awards designed by Final Score Trophy will be presented at about 5 p.m. A non-judged class will be added to the show this year. This class will be for those who are not interested in trophies and enjoy the atmosphere of a car cruise. For a cost, they will receive a dash plaque, a door prize ticket, and goodie bag. This option has all the perks of the car show but those attending can come and go as needed.
As always, there will be food available at reasonable prices. One of the largest Chinese auctions in the area will be offered. There will be a variety of activities for kids starting with goodie bags for the first 35 registered and door prizes.
The event also will feature a coloring contest, a model car contest and temporary tattooing.
All proceeds raised at this event will benefit the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department.
