Storey Square Summer Concert Series to begin next month
The Uniontown Downtown Business District Authority recently announced its schedule of upcoming events. The Storey Square Summer Concert Series will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday during June, July and August at Storey Square, which is located next to the State Theatre Center for the Arts on Main Street. A Farmer’s Market will be held in conjunction with the concert series.
The schedule of concerts is as follows:
– June 4, Harold Betters sponsored by Gary Gearing, with World Importing providing food.
– June 11, Slim Chance sponsored by Centra Bank, with Angelina’s restaurant will serving dinner.
– June 18, Fabulous Softwinds “doo-wop” sponsored by Laurel Business Institute, with Angelina’s restaurant providing food.
– June 25, Quiet Storm sponsor by Centra Bank, with The Lardin House restaurant serving dinner.
– July 2, VFW Band sponsored by Centra Bank, with Caileigh’s restaurant providing food.
– July 9, Roger Humphreys sponsored by National City Bank, with The Lardin House restaurant will providing food.
– July 16, Spoonchatter sponsored by Centra Bank, with 30 East Main serving dinner.
– July 23, Polish Six Pack sponsored by National City Bank, with Hot Diggity Dog providing food.
– July 30, Sammy Bill Orchestra sponsored by First Federal Savings & Loan Association, with World Importing serving dinner.
– Aug. 30, SNAP sponsored by the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa, with Angelina’s restaurant providing dinner.
– Aug. 13, Bobby Reed/Susan Lee sponsored by National City Bank, with World Importing serving food.

Other upcoming events are as follows:
– Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19, National Road Festival Car Show on Main Street in the Central Bank parking lot and the First National parking lot. Ceremonies will take place in front of the Chamber of Commerce.
– 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 7, Laurel Valley Corvette Club Car Show on Main Street.
– 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, Arts in the City festival on Main Street. The event will feature 64 craftsmen and artists on Main Street. Entertainment, food and strolling musicians will be featured.
– 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, Light-Up Night. The parade and other activities will be announced.
