Uniontown to host car show at event
A car show in conjunction with the National Road Festival is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 19. The Uniontown Downtown Business District Authority (DBDA) will sponsor the event. The cruise will be held at the corner of Arch and Main streets in the parking lot of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce and the First National Bank on Main Street in downtown Uniontown.
The wagon train will travel down Main Street with a ceremony being held in front of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce on Main Street at 2:15 p.m.
Registration for the car show will begin at 11:30 a.m. There is a registration fee for each car.
Dash plagues will be given out to the first 50 cars. There will be food and drink available to purchase. Arnie Amber, a local disc jockey, will be spinning tunes.
The DBDA is searching for individual car enthusiasts willing to participate in the event.
