The Russian blue

Katie Smith

Smithfield

The Russian blue is an unusual looking cat. The color should be even bright blue throughout, with silver-stripped guard hairs. The head is flat and long and the face is broad across the eyes. The fur is very dense. The ears are relatively large, but the tips are pointed instead of rounded like other cats.

It is a large cat, with a long, muscular body. This particular cat has very long legs. The eyes are very round and bright green. Did you know that it is rarely seen in the United States? The Russian blue is a really popular breed in Great Britain. The Russian blue is known for their smiling personalities. These cat are really fast and make incredible movements. They are really fun to play with.

Did you know that some cats just know when someone needs love?

There is a kitty whisperer named Alex Bravermen. Alex can talk to cats and calm them down.

Well, anyway, the Russian blue has a fine-boned body. The upstanding, double coat is the most unique feature because with each hair appearing to be lightly dusted with silver.

Gotta go.

My fishing pole

James Smith

Smithfield

Hey! It’s me again. My dad, brother and I went to a big-game dinner. I would not stop eating. Bill was bidding on a fishing pole. I helped my dad buy it. Well, that’s the end.

Summer is on its way

Kelsey Bailey

Uniontown

I think summer is on its way. The days are getting warmer. I can’t wait until I can go swimming again. I think it’s time we all got some warmer weather.

There is so much I can do in the summertime. My friends and I can ride our bikes, or go swimming in my pool. I like hanging out with my cousins, and friends in the summer.

I made lots of new friends this year. I hope I can have them over this summer. I hope this summer is fun.

Another thing we do is go on vacation to Ocean City, Md. It is so much fun. I can’t wait to go.

My day at the zoo

Chase Bowen

New Salem

One time I went to the zoo. The road to the zoo was rough. When we got there, we called mom on the telephone. It was tough to find the phone.

We took more than enough photos.

The man told us that it was the snake’s birthday. It looked like the snake was dancing. He likes Elvis like Uncle Scott.

That is what I did at the zoo.

My dog Max

John Skiles

McClellandtown

My dog Max is very special to me. He’s a bulldog and golden retriever mixed.

The way I got him was, after my baby puppy Carmel died. This was when we got Max, but it wasn’t my mom who got him. It was my grandmother, my aunt and cousins.

I got off the bus and then see them with a big, friendly dog named Max. It was a surprise for my mom, and now he’s adjusted to the family.

That’s how we got our dog Max.

The end.

My favorite dog breed

Brittani Kiger

Smithfield

My favorite dog breed is the Pomeranian. Mostly, why I like this breed is because I like dogs that stay little forever.

Also, Pomeranians are the cutest dog of all species.

There is a downside, though. Pomeranians bark a lot.

They seem to bark at everything. They are the cutest dogs, but this is my opinion.
