Storms

Cera Graft

Scottdale

I always thought most storms were dangerous, but really they sometimes can be good. Like a rain shower helps plants and animals, but too much rain can cause a flood or too much rain for a plant can cause it to die. There are some storms that are bad: severe thunder storms, hurricanes, and sometimes a hard rain storm is bad. During these storms you do not want to be outside or you will probably get hurt. A bad storm can cause damage to a lot of things, such as, houses, gardens, plants, cars and hotels. Storms can take down wires and can cause your electricity to go out.

The spring flower

Uniontown

Once there was a flower. It was a rose. The color was a bright pink. Everyone liked it. The dogs and cats thought it was pleasant. The entire village loved it. It was the best flower.

Summer

This summer in June I am going to my sister’s wedding in Myrtle Beach, S.C. I can’t wait. I am so happy for my sister, but also I am happy because I am the junior bridesmaid. I get to stay there for two nights and three days. Then later that day after the wedding we are going to go to different places on the way back home.

I am happy to go because I get to see all kinds of different places I never got to see. So I am guessing we will be gone for about eight or nine days. So I think it’s going to be real interesting. It’s only about six weeks away ’till we leave to go to Myrtle Beach. I am so excited and can’t wait to go there.

Pro quad rider

Tyler Hagner

Uniontown

If I could be a famous person, I would choose to meet John Natalie. John Natalie is a pro quad rider. He has won the championship three years in a row. He was a privateer, which means someone that is not sponsored and pays for their equipment and gear themselves. Team Honda chose to sponsor him after he won his first championship.

John Natalie is my favorite quad rider because he rides as hard as he can. He is really talented. He has one of the best quads I’ve ever seen because it looks the best and is a very fast ATV. If I ever get to meet John Natalie, I will ask him to give me some tips on how to improve my riding.

Natalie started racing when he was very young. When he began his first year, people knew that he was born to ride. John Natalie races motocross and cross-country. Motocross is where you race on a track and cross-country is where you race through the woods. He mainly races motocross which is my favorite. I hope I can race like John Natalie one day.

The person I’d like to meet

If I could meet a famous person, I would like to meet Johnny Depp. He was the person who played Jack Sparrow in the movie, “Pirates of the Caribbean II.’ I would like to meet him because he is so funny. If he was right here in my classroom right now, he would be the class clown. He might even ask one of my teachers, “Do you want fries with that shake?” That would be hilarious. His hair is messy, but so cool. I like it, but I would not like my hair to be like Jack’s.

Johnny’s character does funny things in this movie. It is so funny that I have watched it three times. I could watch this movie everyday and still love it.

“Pirates of the Caribbean II” is definitely Johnny Depp’s best movie.

I think that Johnny Depp has the heart and brain of a child, which is why he does such a great job in his movies. I know he is a grown man, but I’m glad that he knows how to act like a kid. If you haven’t seen “Pirates of the Caribbean I or II,” I would highly recommend it. Get ready to scream and laugh. Maybe one day I’ll get to meet Johnny Depp and tell him I’m his number one fan.

Going back in time

Carly Reidmann

Smithfield

If I could go back in time, I would do more to save the Earth. Right now, I am doing a project where I am trying to get people to conserve energy, stop littering and polluting their communities. I just wish that I would have started this earlier.

The most important thing that we need to do is conserve energy. Conserve energy means to stop wasting what we have. For example, electricity is the most wasted resource and the easiest to conserve. I want people to stop leaving the television on for hours while no one is even watching it. Turning lights on when it is not necessary and using a huge amount of water while brushing your teeth are two more ways we waste our resources.

I also want people to stop destroying their neighborhoods by throwing trash onto the other people’s property and our roads. Not only is it hurting our environment by polluting the air, it is also hurting our plants and animals. Who wants to see a garbage dump right in someone’s front yard? Who wants to see unhealthy trees and flowers or sick birds and animals.?

These are all important ways that will help to save our planet Earth. I hope that you will join me in making a difference today because it is not too late. This is what I would do, if I could go back in time.

Meeting Miley Cyrus

Amanda Sutton

Smithfield

I am going to tell you a famous person that I’d like to meet. I would like to meet Miley Cyrus. Miley is a singer and an actress. She is the star of the TV show “Hannah Montana.” I would like to meet her and go shopping because she could help me pick out cool outfits. I would also like her to sing me some of her songs, especially my favorite, “If We Were a Movie.”

Maybe I could even go onstage with her and sing along at one of her concerts. Hopefully, she would give me her autograph. I would also like to meet her because I think she would be a cool person to hang around with. Maybe she would sing me some of her new songs. That would be exciting. Miley Cyrus is definitely the famous person I would love to meet one day.
