Albert Gallatin Regatta to float down Mon River in Point Marion this weekend
POINT MARION – Memorial Day weekend is almost here, and that means it is time for the Albert Gallatin Regatta in Point Marion. This year will mark the 28th annual Albert Gallatin Regatta.
From the Memorial Service led by The Rev. Joe Condoluci at 10 a.m. Saturday morning to the fantastic fireworks display on Sunday at 9 p.m., this year’s event promises to offer a variety of activities for all ages.
The food vendors will offer pizza, hot dogs, funnel cakes and much more.
Bands coming to share their music are Breakiron, All Have Fallen, No Tomorrow, Cherubim Zach Ellsworth and Unwritten and Flux.
Saturday afternoon begins with the Regatta Queen Pageant at 1 p.m.
The pageant will be followed by a river rescue demonstration by the Point Marion Volunteer Fire Department.
Sunday afternoon begins with a “Dream Machine” car show, which will take place from noon to 4 p.m.
In addition, there will be a dance performance by Charlotte’s Dance studio at 1 p.m. and a karate demonstration at 2 p.m.
The annual 5K run/walk will hold registration, beginning at 4 p.m.
There will be several different displays and booths around the park for everyone to enjoy.
Games for the children to play will be offered throughout the event.
