local The Greater Uniontown Children’s Choir will perform a spring concert at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Abundant Life Church, 1239 Brownfield Road, Uniontown. The choir is under the direction of Marsha R. Brady and accompanied by Christopher Mickey. The choir will be performing a wide selection of sacred and secular music. Featured soloist will be Corbin Washington. Marianne Cornetti, an international opera singer, will perform at the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday at the Perryopolis First Christian Church, 307 Independence St., Perryopolis. Cornetti is an international opera singer who grew up in the Pittsburgh area. She has sung in most of the major opera houses around the world. The event begins on Saturday morning with a Memorial Service at the Little Arlington section of the cemetery at 10 p.m. and will be followed at 11 a.m. with the parade. The Regatta Queen pageant will begin the activities at the park. Other activities include a River Rescue demonstration by the Point Marion Volunteer Fire Department at 3 p.m. Saturday. Morgantown Honda KTM and Suzuki and Triple SSS Harley Davidson will both have displays on Saturday afternoon, along with Fayette Friends of Animals. There will be games and crafts for the children and plenty of food. Craft displays, music by several area bands, a Karate demonstration and dance performance round out the festivities on both days. The Christian W. Klay Winery will hold a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Items for sale include a sandbox; Tyco basketball hoop; toddler playhouse; used doors and windows in various sizes; skylights; light fixtures; canning jars; cases of used wine bottles; corks for crafts; miscellaneous dishes and cups; used tired; boxes of paperback and hard back books; National Geographic magazines; miscellaneous toys; Ninja Turtle figures; and miscellaneous household items. Haydentown Community Center off Route 857 will hold its third annual car show and spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Trophies will be awarded to the top 10 cars. Goodie bags and dash plagues will be awarded to the first 50 cars. No entry fee or admission will be charged. Donations are appreciated. Each car that enters will receive one free spaghetti dinner. The event will feature door prizes, a 50/50 drawing and a Chinese auction inside the building. The dinner will include spaghetti, salad, roll, dessert and beverage for a cost.

“Nothing But Fun Day” sponsored by R.W. Clark Baseball League will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the R.W. Clark baseball field at Eberly Park in Oliver. The rain date is Sunday.
The event will feature carnival games, prizes and food. Local craft vendors will be featured. A 50/50 drawing will run all day, with a drawing at 5:45 p.m. Bingo will be held from 3 to 5:45 p.m.
The Washington Wild Things mascot will be featured. The public is invited. Proceeds will benefit the R.W. Clark Baseball League.
Hoedown square dancing, slow dancing, polkas, waltzing, line dancing and clogging will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. today at Haydentown Community Center.

Country music will be presented Saturday at the Sagebrush Round-Up on Bunner Ridge near Fairmont, W.Va., six miles east of Interstate 79 at Exit 139. The open stage will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. with the Round-Up Band. The regular show starts at 7 p.m. with the Round-Up Band, Ray Hileman & The Wheels of Country, Country Melody, Granny Blosser/Bill Murray & Friends and Tom Goldsmith. There is a cost for adults. The event will feature more than 170 booths of artists, craftsmen and food vendors from 15 states. Entertainment includes The Girls Band featuring Shelly McCombie from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 26, and Chuck Cantalamessa from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 27. The event will feature trolley rides from the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, clowns doing face painting and balloon animals, Kidders & Kritters Petting zoo and a wagon display. Free on-site parking will be available. The festival will be held rain or shine. All indoor displays will be featured in six buildings. Tickets are available. Children under 6 are admitted free.
