Betters to play at Storey Square
The Uniontown Downtown Business District Authority welcomes Harold Betters known as “Mr. Trombone” to Storey Square from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday. Betters is a local jazz musician born in Connellsville. With a lengthy career spanning the decades, Betters has become a favorite of generations.
Betters has performed with Louie Armstrong and toured with Ray Charles. He is known for songs like “Cherry,” “Somewhere Out There” and “All My Tomorrows.”
The performance is free, and the public is invited. Storey Square is located on West Main Street on the west side of the State Theatre Center for the Arts.
The Uniontown Downtown Business District Authority will serve Jackson Farms ice cream, and The Lardin House will be selling dinner to guests.
Those attending are asked to come early, bring their chairs and enjoy the jazz.
