The Spring Fling at Vincent’s Gallery, 500 New Salem Road (Old Menallen Grange), Uniontown, will be held on April 16. Shop Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adult Easter egg decorating will be directed by Julie Pillar and children’s activities will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be Easter decorating and coloring, face painting, guessing game, and the Story of the White Buffalo to be told by Marci Mcguinness. “Antiques on Tuesdays” begins April 19 and continues on the third Tuesday of each month at West Overton Museums, Scottdale. The event features an antique appraisal session with appraiser John Mickinack. Items to be considered include glass, ceramics, costume jewelry only, some coins, documents, decorative arts and clothing. Market Street Academy and Performing Arts Center in Brownsville will hold a writing contest in conjunction with the May 20 – 22 Market Street Arts Festival. Submissions will be accepted in poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction in four age categories: 6 through 10, 11 through 14, 15 through 18, and 19 through 90. Writers may submit their works between now and May 2. The Gross National Product (GNP) 41st Anniversary Concert will be held at Waynesburg University April 16. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center. Admission is free and doors open at 7 p.m. GNP has become a spring musical reunion for members of the band who started putting on shows at Waynesburg University during 1970. The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra presents season finale at 8 p.m. April 16 at the Palace Theatre in Greensburg.
