Lori’s look
?I sure hope the saying “April showers bring May flowers” is true because all of this crazy weather this week has to have some sort of purpose, right?
Nonetheless, even with the terrible weather, there are still a million things going on right now. One of the most exciting projects we are working on is our daily email news blast. You can now sign up to receive a news update each morning with today’s news, sports, opinion and entertainment headlines. To sign up all you have to do is go to www.heraldstandard.com, go under Contact Us in our top navigation bar and then click on submission forms. And all you need to register is your email address. It’s that simple!
If you have any questions about the email blast, just email me at lgoodwinscott@heraldstandard.com. We’ll also be announcing today the winner of our registration contest, so make sure you check out the website later this afternoon to see if you are our big winner and what your prize is. We now have more than 600 registered users on heraldstandard.com, which allows them to comment on stories, submit their own stories, photos and videos as well as post events in the community. If you’re not registered, what are you waiting for? Get started today and be a part of heraldstandard.com.
Now, on a personal note, I would like to congratulate the guys from the Uniontown Fight Club for doing a great job last Saturday in Ohio and representing our town with great sportsmanship and professionalism. These guys work hard and had a really nice crowd travel to Ohio to watch them compete. But, that’s what southwestern Pennsylvania is all about — supporting our friends and family. And I am proud to be from here.
Now, wish me luck as I will be bowling for charity at the Meadows tomorrow. I feel a couple of strikes coming on — or gutter balls. Lady luck is usually not on my side at the casino.
