Harrigan’s at the Uniontown Holiday Inn hosts Bobby Reed Jazz Night every Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m.

The Greater Uniontown Chorale will present “Worthy Is The Lamb,” a cantata written by Don Wyrtzen with Phil and Lynne Brower. All performances will begin at 7 p.m. They will be held Sunday at the Point Marion United Methodist Church, Point Marion; and Monday at the Cochran United Methodist Church, Dawson.

The Frank L. Melega Art Museum in Brownsville has announced the opening of a new exhibit of paintings and pastels by Patricia Mae Young titled “My Journey With Amy.” The exhibition will continue to May 7. The museum is located in the Historic Flatiron Building, 71 Market St., Brownsville.
The photography exhibit “The Working Press-Moments in Time” will be at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus for public viewing through today and is free and open to the public. The exhibition, which will be on display in the Cultural Center in the Williams Building, showcases work by southwestern Pennsylvania press photographers. The exhibit was originally displayed at the Frank L. Melega Art Museum in Brownsville. The exhibit will be open for public viewing 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
Flat Iron Heritage Center Museum and the Frank Melega Art Museum on Market Street in Brownsville is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, or by appointment. There is no admission charge but donations are welcome. The museum features artifacts from the National Road and industrial eras as well as a gift shop. To schedule an appointment, call 724-785-9331.
The Fayette County Law Library presents Wayne Arnold of Connellsville as Artist for the Month for May. Arnold will display stone sculptures. The library, on the second floor of the Fayette County Courthouse, is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The event features an antique appraisal session with appraiser John Mickinack. The 8th annual Streets of Gold “LIVE”, presented by Joe Chioda, will be held April 30 at Hidden Valley Resort in Somerset. The “Spring Semester Student Art Exhibition” at Waynesburg University will be held through tonight in the Benedum Fine Arts Gallery on the university’s campus. The exhibit showcases the best student work produced in the studio art courses during the spring semester. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend. Approximately 100 pieces will be featured including ceramics, drawings, jewelry, metal work, paintings, watercolors, sculptures and two- and three- dimensional media. Greensburg Civic Theatre concludes its 59th season with the epic romp “The Three Musketeers” tonight through Sunday at Greensburg Garden & Civic Center, 951 Old Salem Road, Greensburg. This adaptation by John Chambers based on the novel by Alexandre Dumas follows D’Artagnan’s quest to become a musketeer against the backdrop of royalist and religious plotting and power struggles with more than a few laughs and plenty of heroic action on the way. The book, “Another Time, Another World: Pennsylvania Bituminous Coal, Coke and Communities,” by John Enman, Ph.D., is available for sale at the Coal and Coke Heritage Center in the library at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly campus. For information, call 724-430-4158, Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is the third in a series of books published by the center, each with a different focus. This book approaches the coal and coke era in western Pennsylvania primarily from a traditional research point of view. Dr. Enman spent 50 years intermittently researching and writing the book. On the cover of the book is a color print of burning coke ovens at night in Leisenring 2 taken by a local resident, The Rev. Edward C. Tajc, around 1950. In addition, the book contains materials related to the early iron industry of western Pennsylvania, a reprint of a 1907 news article “Uniontown’s Bunch of Millionaires,” and various other items related to this area.
