Laurel Highlands Academic Foundation will hold its first car show Sept. 4 at Laurel Highlands High School, 300 Bailey Ave., Uniontown.

The event will benefit the foundation’s scholarship fund.

Registration will be held from 10 a.m. to noon. There is a registration fee.

The car show will be held from noon to 4 p.m., rain or shine. The first 200 cars will receive dash plaques.

More than 60 trophies will be awarded.

There also will be door prizes and goodie bags, a Chinese auction, 50/50 and disc jockey playing music. A golf cart will be on site to provide transportation. Hartsek Catering will provide food.

Judged classes will include cars fro0m 1900 to 1940; 1941-1949; 1950-1959; 1960-1969;1970-1979;1980-1990; Corvettes, trucks, bikes, ratrods and modifieds.

Cars newer than 1991 will be peoples’ choice.
