Lori’s look

By Lori Goodwin Scottdigital Media Content Convergence Editor 2 min read

Well, the 2011 Fayette County Fair is now behind us. I hope you had a chance to make it out this year. For me, the fair never disappoints.

And as it is every year after the fair ends, it’s back-to-school time. Most area schools are starting back Aug. 29, and we want to make sure that our readers are informed about what’s happening in their districts.

Make sure you check out the Heraldstandard.com website Aug. 24 for the start of our Back to School section featuring bus schedules and local menus. And starting on the first day of school, you will be able to upload your own first day of school photos to our Back to School photo gallery.

We also have a couple of great new features that are coming soon to the website including a “Meals in Minutes” segment in our Everyday & You — Dining section. This special feature will include culinary experts that will show you how to prepare a delicious meal in just a few minutes. And we will begin a Phantom Diner section in which an expert food connoisseur will travel to area restaurants and write about their experience.

It’s an exciting time for the Heraldstandard.com website. We have more new features than ever before including additional concert and music reviews in our Entertainment section. We also have quite a number of reader-submitted articles and blogs in our PubHub section under the Everyday & You tab on our home page.

Check it out and let us know your thoughts. Email me at lgoodwinscott@heraldstandard.com.
