Geyer aims for new tradition with “The Nutcracker”

This winter, The Geyer Performing Arts Center in Scottdale is looking to start a new Christmas tradition. With Sandra Ovitsky and Darlene Trout, the theater is presenting the classic ballet, “The Nutcracker.”

The ballet has a cast of over sixty individuals from the Uniontown, Connellsville, Brownsville, Mount Pleasant and Scottdale areas and the surrounding region.

“The Nutcracker” tells the timeless story of a little girl’s Christmas dream and will take theatergoers on a magical journey of wonder and discovery.

Show dates are Dec. 8, 9, 10, and 11 and showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Thursday thru Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
