The Beesontown
Singers will present their annual Christmas concert on
Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of Asbury United Methodist
Church in Uniontown. This season’s Christmas offerings will most
certainly be diverse — ranging from traditional fare by
time-tested composers such as G.B. Pergolesi and Clarence Dickinson
to contemporary rising stars such as John Rutter and Douglas
Wagner. There is no admission charge. A freewill offering will be
accepted.
A bluegrass open stage and
jam session will be held at The Wooddale Grange in
Bullskin Township on Saturday. Doors open at 6 p.m. Food and drink
will be for sale. Bands can call Bill Springer at 724-455-3919 to
schedule stage time. This event will repeat the first Saturday of
each month, except January.
Harrigan’s at the Uniontown
Holiday Inn hosts Bobby Reed Jazz Night every Thursday
from 7 to 10 p.m.
Acoustic Fridays at
the Stone House feature live entertainment by area artists every
Friday in the Tavern from 8 to 11 p.m. with no cover.

Frank L. Melega Art
Musuem will present the exhibit “Antonio Pertucelli:
Master Illustrator” through Sunday featuring Petruccelli’s cover
art and illustrations for The New Yorker, Fortune, Vanity Fair,
Life Magazine and more. An opening reception will be held Saturday

Flat Iron Heritage Center
Museum and the Frank Melega Art Museum on Market Street in
Brownsville is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday
through Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, or by appointment. There is
no admission charge but donations are welcome. The museum features
artifacts from the National Road and industrial eras as well as a

The Fayette County Law
Library presents John F. Brothers of
HeraldStandard.com, as the artist of the month for December.
Brothers’ photography can be seen at the Law Library on the second
floor of the Fayette County Courthouse. The public is invited,
admission is free and the hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4:30
p.m., Monday through Friday.

The first Perryopolis
Frontier Christmas Homecoming will be held at the Lynn
House (Rustic Cabin) by reservation only. Show dates and times are
2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday; 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday; 2 to 4 and 6
to 8 p.m. Dec. 10; and 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 11. Guest speaker will be
Ken Williams, who will share stories of the Civil War era. Musical
entertainment will be presented by the Acoustic Shadows of the Blue
and Gray. Complimentary cookies, punch and warm apple cider will be

Proceeds from the event will benefit the church construction at the
Civil War battlefield near Sampey Park.
“A Country Christmas in the
Greenhouse” will be held through Sunday at Duda’s
Greenhouse in Republic. The show will feature crafts from more than
30 local people. The show will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

revue “Broadway Holiday” by Broadway composer, lyricist
and producer Neil Berg will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the

Photographer: An American Story,” the first major
retrospective exhibition of the work and legacy of African American
artist Charles “Teenie” Harris, is now on view at Carnegie Museum

Westmoreland Cultural
Trust holds its 6th Annual International Christmas for
Children on Sunday at Greensburg Garden & Civic Center, 951
Old Salem Road, Greensburg. Children ages three to seven receive a
“passport” to be stamped as they visit four countries where they
will enjoy songs, storytelling and crafts related to each country’s
holiday traditions. Photos with Santa are included. There
are two sessions: 12 to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
