GIG Coffeehouse on
Route 857 in Fairchance will host the Rhodes Country Christmas Show
from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. There is an admission fee and the snack
bar will be open. Santa also will visit.

Area YMCA will host a teen dance for all teenagers in the counnity
in grades nine through 12 from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the YMCA.
Featured will be
the teen band “Those Guys” (winner of the
YMCA Summer Battle of the Bands) from 8 to 9 p.m.; and a DJ from 9
to 11 p.m. Food will be available for a small charge. There is an
admission fee or bring an unwrapped gift for Toys for Tots. For

Flat Iron Heritage Center
Museum and the Frank Melega Art Museum on Market Street in
Brownsville is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday
through Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, or by appointment. There is
no admission charge but donations are welcome. The museum features
artifacts from the National Road and industrial eras as well as a

The Fayette County Law
Library presents John F. Brothers of
HeraldStandard.com, as the artist of the month for December.
Brothers’ photography can be seen at the Law Library on the second
floor of the Fayette County Courthouse. The public is invited,
admission is free and the hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4:30
p.m., Monday through Friday.

dinner will be hosted by Boy Scout Troop 610 at noon and 5

Symphony presents “Home for the Holidays,” a concert
featuring jubilant carols, classic holiday pieces and an array of
talented performers at 8 p.m. Saturday at the historic Palace

A Night of Christmas
Carols, presented by the Geyer Performing Arts Center will
take place at 7 p.m. Sunday. The Geyer is located at 111
Pittsburgh St. in Scottdale, and seating is free and open to the

retrospective exhibition of the work and legacy of African American
artist Charles “Teenie” Harris, is now on view at Carnegie Museum
