STOMP returns to WVU center
A family favorite worldwide, the percussion troupe STOMP returns to the West Virginia University Creative Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8 and 9.

STOMP’s percussive act began in 1991, the result of the collaborative efforts of Steve McNicholas and Luke Creswell. STOMP has been astounding audiences and winning awards since its foundation, including The Guardian’s Critical Choice award, the Olivier Award for Best Choreography in a West End Show, a Drama Desk Award for Most Unique Theatre Experience and several Emmy nominations.
Within the first five years of its creation, the show brought its rhythm to capacity audiences all over the world in cities like Hong Kong, Barcelona, Sydney and Dublin. Today, STOMP performs its special brand of comedic percussion with a huge selection of objects, ranging from the everyday to the bizarre. While remaining loyal to their old standbys of trash cans and hubcaps, STOMP promises new and updated performance methods that include props such as tire inner tubes and paint cans.
