CPR classes scheduled for April at YMCA

2 min read

April is the perfect time to learn or renew lifesaving skills to keep your loved ones safe this spring.

“Spring is a wonderful time to be with family and friends, but the outdoor fun can stop in an instant if a health emergency occurs,” said Rick Elster, Health and Safety director with the local American Red Cross.

“It is important to always be prepared and learn or renew CPR/AED and First Aid training with the American Red Cross to keep everyone safe.”

A schedule of the classes being offered in Fayette County this April is below. All classes will be held at the Uniontown Area YMCA, located at 1 YMCA Dr. in Uniontown:

n April 5-6: 5:30 to 10 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.; Standard First Aid with Adult CPR/AED; (attendance at both sessions is required for certification); $60

n April 5; 5:30 to 10 p.m.; Adult CPR/AED; $40

Additionally, businesses, organizations and community groups can also arrange for private instruction from the Red Cross. All proceeds benefit the programs and services of the American Red Cross. To register, participants can visit swpa.redcross.org and click on “Get Trained” to search all of our classes online. They can also call to register at 888-217-9599.
