Thelma Rush marks 91st birthday
Thelma Rush of Golden Living Center, Uniontown, will celebrate her 91st birthday on Friday.
She was born April 1, 1920 in Confluence, the daughter of Steward and Mabel McClintock.
She married the late Telford E. Burkett, Sept. 20, 1941. Her second marriage to the late Charles Robert Rush was on Sept. 3, 1972.
She has two daughters, Janice Peck (Ivan), Grindstone, and Barbara Skinner (John) of Johnstown.
Her two grandchildren and spouses are Marcia and Bob Rockinson of Orlando, Fla., and Mark and Candi Peck, Lemont Furnace, and the late James Skinner.
There are also four great grandchildren, Dr. Amanda and Michael Szapkieu of Virginia, Randy and Cassie Rockinson, Washington state; Mark Peck Jr. and Amber of Uniontown, and Melissa Peck, Lemont Furnace.
She also has one great-great grandson, Carson Jaymes Tate. She will welcome a new great-great granddaughter in May and another one this summer.
There will be a get-together with family and friends.
