Masontown matters sponsors parade,dance

The Masontown Spooktacular Halloween parade and event will be held Oct. 29. This annual event is sponsored by Masontown Matters and various Masontown area businesses and organizations. Parade lineup begins at 5 p.m. in the Parkvale Bank parking lot located on Main Street, with the parade beginning promptly at 6 p.m. Those in Halloween costumes, bands, fire trucks, floats and other vehicles will participate in a parade down Main Street to Virginia Avenue and to the German-Masontown Park. At the park, there will be entertainment for all ages, including free hayrides, a large bonfire, D.J. Jerry Wesolowsky, vendors selling seasonal and traditional foods, a pumpkin and scarecrow decorating contest, treat bags for all costumed participants and a costume judging with cash prizes.

Masontown Matters will also sponsor a dinner and a dance at Dolfi’s Restaurant in Masontown Nov. 12. Doors will open at 5 p.m., with dinner and dancing from 6-10 p.m. Oldies Unlimited will provide entertainment. There will also be a Chinese Auction. There is an admission fee. Advance ticket sales only; no tickets will be sold at the door.
