Flat Iron Heritage Center Museum and the Frank Melega Art Museum on Market Street in Brownsville is open to the public from 11?a.m. to 2?p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1 to 4?p.m. Sunday, or by appointment. The Fayette County Law Library presents Evan Sanders, of the Daily Courier, as artist of the month for Sept. Evan Sanders collection of Photography can be seen at the Law Library on the second floor of the Fayette County Courthouse. West Overton Village will hold an antique sale in the distillery on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Deaccessioned items from the museum’s collection that are available for purchase by the general public include antique tools, steamer trunks and cases, dishes, kitchen implements and a variety of other curios. These items have been determined to be unrelated to the museum’s mission or represent duplicates of better examples of the same object. This is the second in a series of antique sales that are happening at the distillery at West Overton. All proceeds benefit the ongoing West Overton Revitalization Project, which is designed to revamp the museum’s exhibitry and programs and improve the visitor’s experience.

The New Salem Presbyterian Church will sponsor its 12th annual Presby Peach Fest from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets will be available at the door for either a pork or ham barbecue meal or hot dog meal, including three sides, drink and the choice of peach dessert with ice cream. Bring a non-perishable food item for the food pantry and receive an extra door prize ticket. Door prizes will be drawn every 30 minutes. A bake sale will be held in front of the church during Peach Fest hours. The church is located at 27 South Mill St., New Salem. Proceeds will benefit local church mission projects. Comedian Ty Barnett of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and Comedy Central fame will tickle audiences’ funny bones Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus. The public is invited to attend this free event at Swimmer Hall in the Williams Building.
