The Legendary Gil Snyder Combo from Pittsburgh will perform at the King Of The Hill Steakhouse in Bentleyville from 8 p.m. today to midnight. Snyder is a two time Oscar-nominee, a member of Pittsburgh Music Hall Of Fame and played and recorded with Stevie Ray Vaughn and “The Boss” Bruce Springsteen. The Fine Arts Department at Waynesburg University will feature the exhibit, “Where in the World Have You Been,” through Sept. 30. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.The exhibit will include photographs taken by Waynesburg University students, faculty and staff, featuring Waynesburg University associated travel that has taken place during the last calendar year. Flat Iron Heritage Center Museum and the Frank Melega Art Museum on Market Street in Brownsville is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, or by appointment. There is no admission charge but donations are welcome. The museum features artifacts from the National Road and industrial eras as well as a gift shop. The Fayette County Law Library presents Evan Sanders of the Daily Courier as artist of the month for September. Sanders’ collection of photography can be seen at the Law Library on the second floor of the Fayette County Courthouse. The public is invited, admission is free and the hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Auditions for “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the East Liberty Presbyterian Church in Vanderbilt. Performers age 4 and up can audition for the show by coming prepared with a Christmas carol. The show will be held Dec. 9 and 10. For more information, call 724-323-3069.

Cherry Tree Alliance Church will host former Pittsburgh Steelers lineman Jon Kolb on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. Kolb played for the Steelers from 1969-1981 and won four Superbowl rings during that time.

The 2011″Poke” Memorial Ride will be held Sunday with registration at Mahoney’s Bar & Grille in Uniontown from 9 to 11:45 a.m. All proceeds from the Ride will be donated to Warrior Canine Connection, a non-profit canine assistance and soldier rehabilitation program dedicated to helping veterans. The Sagebrush Round-up lineup for Saturday includes Open Stage from 6 -6:30 p.m., The Round-Up Band, Jeff Frey, The Pubcasters, Rickey Whipple and Brad Crow & The Cut-Ups. There is a fee to attend.
