Lori’s look
It’s supposed to be chilly this weekend. Perfect weather for the start of October (I don’t know what that 80-plus degree weather earlier this week was all about) and all of the area’s haunted attractions.
I’m going for a behind-the-scenes tour at Rich’s Fright Farm tonight, which I am so excited about, and in a couple of weeks I’m going to a birthday bonfire and hayride at Allen’s Farm in Smock. Over the last few years, my husband and I have also made it to Castle Blood in Beallsville, and even though it’s outside of our area, the Moundsville Penitentiary in West Virginia.
Nemacolin Castle in Brownsville also offers ghost tours, and the Haunted Hills Estate in Uniontown is supposed to be a lot of fun. We have more information on these and some other local fall events in our “Explore the Seasons — Fall” guide that will be on the Heraldstandard.com website next week.
And let us know what you like to do in the fall and what you think of the area’s attractions. You can post your own thoughts, articles, photos, etc. in our PubHub section on Heraldstandard.com. It’s very easy, and all you have to do is log in to our site, and go the Everyday & You — PubHub in the upper right hand corner of our home page.
