Details about the annual American Heart Association heart ball announced
The American Heart Association, Fayette County division, announced that it will hold the Heart Ball, its signature fundraiser, on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the Chateau Lafayette at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. The Crystal Heart Ball marks the 15th anniversary of the event in Fayette County.
The Heart Ball Committee selected the theme “Crystal” Ball for this milestone event and is tasked with helping to organize and raise dollars to support heart and stroke medical research, as well as public and professional education programs.
According to the American Heart Association, research funded by the organization has yielded several discoveries such as CPR, life-extending drugs, pacemakers, bypass surgery, surgical techniques to repair heart defects and more.
