Calvary Apostolic Church, located at 127 Rolling Hills Estate Road, Uniontown, across from PennDOT, is presenting several holiday programs for the community. All are offered free of charge.

“It’s our way of giving back to the community during the holiday season,” said Belinda Smith, director of Christian education for the church.

The events begin at 10 a.m. this Sunday with a concert by Highest Praise from the Buckhannon area of West Virginia, who will perform Christian gospel music.

The church will follow the concert with its annual community Christmas dinner, a traditional holiday meal that features turkey and is served in the social hall. This is the fourth year the church has hosted the dinner and the first year for the concert.

Calvary Baptist is offering a candlelight Christmas service at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21.

The church will present a holiday play called “The Bells” at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23.

“The play is about finding the true meaning of Christmas,” said Smith. “Among all the hustle and bustle, it brings the true meaning back.”

Refreshments will be served after the play.

The Rev. Daniel Bayles is pastor. For more information, call the church at 724-438-5052.
