West Virginia Public Theatre announces the audition schedule for their upcoming summer season. Auditions will be held in Pittsburgh Saturday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon.

There will be an open dance call on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Pittsburgh auditions will be held at Pittsburgh Musical Theatre, 327 S. Main St. Those interested in auditioning can contact WVPT’s administrative office at 304-291-4117.

Auditions will be held in Morgantown March 11, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., at AW Dance Studio, located at 256 Greenbag Road. Those interested in auditioning in Morgantown can call WVPT’s administrative offices beginning Feb. 27.

WVPT intends to engage an ensemble of highly skilled actors who dance and sing exceedingly well. The ensemble track will be “9 to 5,” “Anything Goes” and “All Shook Up.” The ensemble of 6 women and 6 men should have a strong background in tap. To audition, individuals are expected to perform a short song selection that shows vocal range. Individuals wishing to audition need to bring a head shot and resume.

Appointments can only be taken by phone, not email. Those individuals who are unable to attend auditions may submit pictures and resumes to casting@wvpublictheatre.org.
