The Calvary Baptist Church, 308 McClellandtown Road, Uniontown, is hosting the fifth annual Concert for Life March 18. Admission is free, and all seats are on a first come first served basis.

The doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the concert will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Featured will be Concert for Life veteran performers Paul and Barb Cramer, Kevin and Wanda O’Brien and Zack Ellsworth. In addition, two acts will join the Concert for Life for the first time, The Beesontown Singers and Christy Eckert of the band “Still Waters.”

A free will offering will be taken, with proceeds to benefit the Center of Hope. In addition, a new logo for the Center of Hope will be unveiled at the Concert.

The Center of Hope, a regional crisis pregnancy center, provides women, men, their children and families with services related to unplanned pregnancy, adoption, parenting and post-abortion trauma, including pregnancy tests, a 24-hour nationwide hotline, educational resources, adoption information, post-abortion care, ongoing support and peer counseling, and classes related to prenatal development, childbirth, child development and parenting. Center clients benefit from the “Earn While You Learn” program, earning “Baby Bucks” by keeping scheduled appointments and completing educational assignments. Baby Bucks can be exchanged for diapers, baby blankets, baby bottles, infant bath supplies and clothing and shoes for infants and young children from the on-site “Baby Boutique.” In short, the center offers the practical and emotional help needed to carry an unplanned pregnancy to term.

The Center of Hope is located at 338 W. Main St., Uniontown. The center is a non-profit, 501c3 charity, and is entirely donor funded. All services are confidential and free to all, regardless of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, marital status or disability. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Since the center opened in 2009, it has worked with more than 195 client families facing crisis pregnancies. The Center of Hope is affiliated with CareNet, a nationwide network of 1,100 pregnancy centers serving over 350,000 women annually.
