Round and square dancing will be held Wednesday at Uniontown Knights of Columbus from 7 p.m. till 10 p.m. Music and figure calling by Dave Dahl.

Jamie Harris’ “Shadows of the King: Elvis Tribute Show” will be held Saturday at 8 p.m. at Mallard’s Landing at the Duck Hollow Golf Course, 374 Duck Hollow Road, Uniontown.  The show will benefit Fayette Friends of Animals No-Kill Shelter in Uniontown.  Tickets are being sold at Bogey’s Restaurant, Duck Hollow Golf Course and Fayette Friends of Animals shelter.  Doors will open at 7 p.m. Call 724-438-3698 to reserve tickets. Tickets also are available at Duck Hollow Golf Course, Fayette Friends of Animals and Ford of Uniontown. Only 200 tickets will be sold.

Open mic night at 30 East Main will be held every Thursday night hosted by Brandon Petrucci from 7 to 10 p.m.

Acoustic Fridays at the Stone House feature live entertainment by area artists every Friday in the Tavern from 8 to 11 p.m. with no cover.

Flat Iron Heritage Center Museum and the Frank Melega Art Museum on Market Street in Brownsville is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, or by appointment. There is no admission charge but donations are welcome. The museum features artifacts from the National Road and industrial eras as well as a gift shop. The Fayette County Law Library presents The Fayette County Law Library presents Karen Woodfork and her collection of “Soap Making and Personal Care” as the Artist of the Month for March. You can view her artwork on at the Law Library on the second floor of the Fayette County Courthouse. The public is invited, admission is free and the hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The Fayette County Cultural Trust will host a Sunday trip to Heinz Hall for a performance by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and fiddler Natalie MacMaster. The cost includes transportation, show and dinner at The Church Brew Works. The bus will depart the Paint Room along Apple Street, Connellsville, at 1 p.m. Transportation will be provided by West Apple Tours of Connellsville. Seton Hill University will present Mozart’s opera “The Magic Flute” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Seton Hill University Performing Arts Center in downtown Greensburg. The performance is a free and open to the public.

The Waynesburg University Music Program will offer its final Chamber Works Concert of the semester at noon Thursday. The event will be held in the Marsh Center in Roberts Chapel. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend. For more information, call Ronda DePriest at 724-852-3420.

“Teenie Harris, Photographer: An American Story,” the first major retrospective exhibition of the work and legacy of African American artist Charles “Teenie” Harris, is now on view at Carnegie Museum of Art. The exhibition runs through April 7.

Tickets for the April 25 University Arts Series performance by Straight No Chaser have sold out. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at the WVU Creative Arts Center. Tickets are still available for the following shows: Red Star Red Army Chorus and Dance Ensemble (March 24), The Harlem Globetrotters (March 27), “Burn The Floor” (May 2), “Young Frankenstein” (May 3) and “In The Heights” (May 30).

Admission to Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History is free to all visitors 3:30-8 p.m. every Thursday in March. Normal parking fees apply. Free Thursday nights in March are made possible by a gift from The Jack Buncher Foundation.

“Leonardo da Vinci: Machines in Motion” runs through May 6 in the South Conference Wing of the new Convocation Center at California University of Pennsylvania. Doors are open seven days a week. The exhibit features 40 full-size replicas of those machines, painstakingly crafted from da Vinci’s own technical drawings, on display from noon to 8 p.m. daily.
