Abundant Life Church, 1239 Brownfield Lane, Uniontown, is offering the public an opportunity to see a special holiday movie as part of their Easter observance.

On Good Friday, Abundant Life will present three showings of the 80-minute feature film called, “The Easter Experience,” distributed by City on a Hill Productions. The film will be shown at 2, 4 and 7 p.m. on April 6. Admission is free.

Pastor Nick Cook released information that explained the movie is designed to be a spiritual experience as the viewer observes the passion and resurrection of Jesus in a highly cinematic style. The movie wants viewers to feel, meet, and enter into the last few hours of Jesus’ natural life as well as the first few hours of his resurrected life.

The drama follows Jesus in the Upper Room, the Garden of Gethsemane, Pilate’s courtyard, Mount Calvary, and the empty tomb. Viewers are asked to identify with Peter, Judas, Mary, and others who were present with Jesus during his final hours. As stated by the author of the script, “‘The Easter Experience’ is meant to be just that: an experience.”
