Carnegie Free Library announces reading, dance programs

Carnegie Free Library in Connellsville will kick off its summer reading program June 20 with the theme “Dream Big – Read!” and hold a Dancing with the Stars contest beginning June 22.

The program is open to people preschool age to young adult. It will feature prize drawings and lunch. All programs will be held Wednesdays and start at 11 a.m., unless otherwise noted.

Programs this summer will include Books Come Alive, beginning at 11:30 a.m. June 27; Dream Big – Read magic show, July 11; RAD Nighttime Kids Safety, July 18; Dream Big – Read puppet show July 25; Books Come Alive Stage Right Co. at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 1; Fun Day and reading prizes, Aug. 8.

The Dancing with the Stars contest will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Fridays from June 22 through Aug. 10. This program is for people who love to dance of all age groups. Prizes will be awarded. Free lunch will be provided.

Online registration is open online at www.carnegiefreelib.org or at the library’s front desk. The library is located at 299 S. Pittsburgh St.
