Steel City Quartet performs at Mountain Pines Resort
The award-winning Southern gospel group Steel City Quartet will appear in concert at the Mountain Pines Resort in Salt Lick Township, starting at noon on Sunday, May 27.
The appearance of the group is an effort by Mountain Pines Resort residents to restart the church ministry at the popular campsite. The performance will be held at the outdoor stage. Those attending should bring a lawn chair or blanket. An indoor facility is available if necessary.
A freewill offering will be taken and refreshments are available.
Over the past several decades, the Steel City Quartet has gained a reputation for being one of the most inspirational and dynamic Southern gospel groups to perform in the tri-state area, although their popularity has spread beyond the boundaries of Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
The Steel City Quartet provides wholesome comic relief in live concert performances while sharing the Gospel message of Christ through music and song.
Members of the group include the recently inducted Pennsylvania Gospel Music Hall of Fame tenor John “Legs” Lawrenzi, singing baritone John Horak, lead singer Timothy Charles Cousino and Glenn Crawford.
Lawrenzi said, “Our mission is simple, we bring the message of the Good News by singing uplifting and inspirational songs that show how God’s love can touch anyone’s heart and change lives forever.”
