The second annual Market Street Arts Festival in Brownsville kicks off today, with events, arts, crafts, food and entertainment for visitors of all ages. For a full schedule of events, go online to http://marketstreetartsfest.com.

Masontown Matters announces a Spring Community Yard Sale all day Saturday taking place throughout Masontown. For more information, go online to www.masontownmatters.org to view or add to an interactive map of participating yard-salers.

The Fayette County Law Library presents Daniel Berthold of Uniontown as artist of the month for May. The public is invited to view Berthold’s “Wood Sculptures” at the Law Library located on the second floor of the courthouse. The cultural and educational pursuits of the Fayette County Law Library are promoted through the display of non-performing local artists’ work in the library’s museum case. Admission is free and the hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

A car cruise will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. every Friday, weather permitting, at the Subway Restaurant at Uniontown Shopping Center, Morgantown Road, and from 6 to 9 p.m. every Wednesday, weather permitting, at Sonic Restaurant, Fayette Crossing Road, in front of Uniontown Walmart. Both will feature disc jockey Arnie Amber, 50/50 and door prizes and will continue to September.

Friends of Ohiopyle has announced a need for artisans and crafts vendors for the 24th annual “Music in the Mountains” festival to be held Sept. 1 and 2 at Ohiopyle. What started with a few acoustic musicians playing near the main falls has grown into a two-day event. Last year boasted more vendors than ever before and was very successful. The Cactus Lounge will be the location of a special open stage from 8 to 11 p.m every Thursday, hosted by the Gil Snyder Combo, featuring the award winning guitarist/singer/songwriter the Legendary Bobby Hawkins and local drummer/percussionist Robert “Jambo” Adamovich. The Cactus Lounge is located at 3440 Pittsburgh Road (Route 51) in Perryopolis. For more information contact 724-736-8951. The boys will also be performing Friday at Legacy Lanes and Saturday at the Royal Place, both in Pittsburgh.

The Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation is offering a geocaching program at Ten Mile Creek Park. Participants will meet at the Audia Shelter at noon Sunday. Pre-registration is required and can be made by calling 724-228-6867.

The Sagebrush Round-up lineup for Saturday includes open stage from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Gail Ford, Donnie Leonard, Howard Knight & The Nightriders, Rob Kuntry and The Round-Up Band.
