Westmoreland County Historical Society taking reservations for trip to Annapolis

The Westmoreland County Historical Society is sponsoring a day-long motor coach trip from Greensburg to Annapolis, Md., June 14.

The first stop of the day will be the U.S. Naval Academy for a guided historical tour, which will include Lejeune Hall, Dahlgren Hall, Bancroft Hall, Tecumseh Court, Herndon Monument, the crypt of John Paul Jones, Admiral Perry’s flag from the Battle of Lake Erie and the Rogers Ship Models. Free time for lunch and shopping in the historic downtown area is scheduled before a guided tour of the historic Paca House (1765) and Gardens.

The group will be at Renditions Golf Club in Davidsonville, Md., for a full-course dinner.

The group will leave from Vacation Station rear parking lot at Wellington Square at 6 a.m. and will return to Greensburg by midnight. Non-refundable reservations are due by June 4.
