MVH’s Auxiliary prepares for Strawberry Festival
Where else can one find mouthwatering, seasonal strawberry shortcake, fruit salad, some creative entrees, baked goods and even pepperoni rolls but at the annual Strawberry Festival, sponsored by the Auxiliary of Mon-Vale Health Resources, Inc.
The public is invited to attend the event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the outdoor Central Plaza of Monongahela Valley Hospital (MVH) and in the hospital’s Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center. The event benefits the hospital.
The festival menu will feature strawberry shortcake with whipped cream, fruit salad, warm roast beef sandwiches with portabella mushrooms and mozzarella, black and blue chicken salad, linguine salad and coffee or strawberry lemonade.
The group will also sell home-baked goods and host a craft sale and vendor sales.
In the Central Plaza, the auxiliary will sell strawberry lemonade, pepperoni rolls and funnel cakes. This comfortable, informal, outdoor setting offers patrons a refreshing way to enjoy food, fun and fellowship.
“This is one of my favorite events, and people really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere,” said Auxiliary President Ruth Antonelli. “I’m looking forward to the fresh strawberry shortcake and pepperoni rolls myself.”
