Masontown arts festival to benefit Domestic Violence of SWPA
A two-day arts and crafts festival will be held at The Lardin House Inn in Masontown tomorrow and Sunday.
Beginning at 11 a.m. both days, experience arts and crafts, sample delicious food and enjoy great entertainment during this event which benefits local non-profit organization Domestic Violence of SWPA.
The mission of Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern PA is to increase awareness of domestic violence and its effect on the community, to empower those victimized by providing advocacy and safe and effective services, and to work for social change designed to eliminate domestic violence.
Crafters participating in the festival include Whimsical Designs, 2 on a cloud, artist Linda Dolrean Otoole, Amy Sue Designs, Autumn’s Boutique, potter Becky Keck, potter Connie Benliney, Many Wee Things, Ruff Creek Crafts, quilter Marilyn Stepp, Mary Ann Marelena, jewelry maker Michele Walker, MJM Specialties, Plum Run Winery, and silversmith Linda Metzers.
Festival vendors include Plum Run Winery, Bath Fitters, Kathy Haluska-Sabika Jewelry, McCuthean’s Jams and Jellies, Marci McAdoo’s Fondue Chocolates, Grace Adel, Mary Kay, Lily Grace Designs, Scentsy Wickless Candles, Miche Bags, 31 Gifts, Pampered Chef and Premier Designs.
A car show will be held tomorrow as part of the festivities featuring music by DJ Dusty Joe. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the car cruise taking place from 12 noon to 4 p.m.
Musical acts will perform both tomorrow and Sunday including Michael and Carolyn Huff, Black Horse, Scott and Rosanna Accoustics, Sandy Lusco Huffman, Michael Brown and Household Stories.
Children will enjoy games and face painting. On Sunday, area students will be honored for their award winning art and essay projects.
