GERMAN TWP. — Two Masontown residents were arrested on Thursday afternoon, following a dispute in their vehicle with a six-year-old passenger present, according to state police.

Paul Walden, 39, was charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment, and Heather Williams, 38, was charged with simple assault and harassment, state police said. Both were sent to the Fayette County jail on bond.

According to state police, Williams said that Walden grabbed her hair while she was driving on State Route 21, which caused Williams to lose control of the vehicle and almost hit a guard rail. Williams’ six-year-old child was in the car.

Following the dispute in the car, Williams stopped the car and punched Walden in the head and face, state police said.
