Trooper charged in threat against wife

A Pennsylvania state trooper is facing multiple charges after police allege he held a knife to his wife’s throat during an altercation at their residence in Fredericktown on Tuesday.

Marc Damon Packrall, 36, was charged with terroristic threats and harassment, and later arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joshua P. Kanalis.

The charges were filed by East Bethlehem Township police.

According to officers, police were summoned to Packrall’s home for a reported domestic dispute between the trooper and his wife, Dana Packrall.

Dana Packrall told police that she and her husband were arguing outside their home when Marc Packrall held a pocket knife to her neck and threatened her.

He was released on $25,000 unsecured bond following his arraignment.

Court records indicate that Marc Packrall will face a preliminary hearing at 10 a.m. May 6 before Kanalis.

A preliminary hearing is set for May 6 before Kanalis.

Packrall is suspended without pay from state police.
