Albert Gallatin Area School District has set kindergarten registration for the 2013-14 school year.

Registration will be held at the following schools: George J. Plava Elementary on April 29; A. L. Wilson Elementary on April 30; Masontown Elementary on May 1; Friendship Hill Elementary on May 1; D. Ferd Swaney Elementary on May 2; and Smithfield Elementary on May 3. Registration times at all schools are from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

To be eligible for kindergarten, a child must be 5 years of age on or before Aug. 31. To be eligible for first grade, a child must be 6 years of age on or before Aug. 31. Children who are currently enrolled in the district’s kindergarten program don’t need to register for first grade.

Parents must present their child’s official certificate of birth, residency verification and the immunization record at the time of registration. The kindergarten registration also includes a vision, speech, and kindergarten screening test.

Children who will be moving into the Albert Gallatin Area School District should also register for school at this time.
