UNIONTOWN

Man charged

Uniontown police said Raymond Foster, 29, of Uniontown was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, possession of cocaine, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and various traffic violations on Wednesday. Police said when Foster tried to flee during a traffic stop, his vehicle hit a police cruiser on Lawton Avenue. Police said when officers immobilized Foster’s vehicle, he locked the car’s doors. Police said they then broke one of the vehicle window’s doors to take Foster out of the vehicle so as to restrain him. He was taken to Fayette County Prison.

Five charged

Uniontown police said four juveniles and Howard L. Layhue III, 18, all of Uniontown were charged with disorderly conduct Wednesday after a fight on Cleveland Avenue.

Man charged

Uniontown police said Jason Wiltrout, 24, of Uniontown was charged with simple assault and harassment/strike/shove kick Wednesday after a dispute with Shannon Ermick on Lenox Street. Police said Ermick was treated at Uniontown Hospital.

Jewelry stolen

State police said Teffani Nykol Robbins, 24, of Smithfield was charged with theft after she stole jewelry valued at $3,000 from Ellen and Conrad Pocratsky’s residence on Dixon Avenue on Tuesday.

Vehicles collide

State police said vehicles driven by Michael L. Butler of Connellsville and Sharon F. McGary of Mount Pleasant collided Tuesday at the intersection of Pleasant Valley and Hoke roads. Police said McGary sustained moderate injuries and was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh.
