Student internship

Dillon Gearing has been awarded a congressional internship for the summer of 2013 with state Rep. Tim Murphy of the 18th Congressional District. Gearing, a son of of Gary and Lisa Gearing of Uniontown and a 2010 graduate of Uniontown High School, is a junior at Penn State University studying engineering. He has also been accepted by GE Corp. into their CO/OP program for the fall of 2013.

Conference attended

Ethan Crace of Scottdale, a senior chemistry major St. Vincent College, recently attended a Franciscan University of Steubenville Graduate Philosophy Conference, “Must Morality be Grounded in God?”

Individuals who attend higher learning institutions that do not submit lists to Herald Standard can submit the information including a name, hometown, school name, honor or reason for submission and semester of honor or graduation.
