State police seek ATV thief

State police are looking for a man in connection with a series of utility vehicle and all-terrain vehicle thefts in southern Fayette County.

According to police, several of the off-road vehicles have been stolen in and around Georges Township. Two of the vehicles have been recovered, but the suspect, who is believed to have been involved in additional cases, remains at large.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid to late 20s, with red hair, a red beard and acne on his face. He also has a purple stud tongue ring. Police said the man is about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds.

Investigators believe the suspect is either from southern Fayette County or the northern portion of West Virginia.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered through the Fayette County Crime Stoppers program for information leading to an arrest in the theft cases. Tips called in to the Crime Stoppers program at 888-404-8477 may remain completely anonymous.
