Masontown police probing daylight burglaries

By Josh Krysak jkrysak@heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

Masontown police said they are investigating a rash of daytime burglaries committed over the Christmas holiday in the borough.

Lt. Jeff Standish said that police are investigating six burglaries over the last week, including break-ins on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and said that officers believe that the break-ins have all occurred during daylight hours.

“We think that the suspect or suspects are watching homes and waiting for people to leave and then making their move,” Standish said. “These guys are going right through the front door.”
