State police said they are investigating the alleged statutory sexual assault of a teenage girl at a location in North Union Township on Jan. 1.

State police said a 13-year-old North Union teen was charged with terroristic threats after she threatened to stab her mother at a residence in North Union Township on Wednesday.

Fence damaged
State police said a vehicle crashed into a fence owned by Frank’s Sanitation on Starlite Road between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday.

Man cited
Charles Mitchell, 54, of 99 N. Water St., Masontown, was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness following an incident outside the Masontown police department on Thursday, Masontown police said.

Man cited
Connellsville police said Brian Keith Shipley, 39, of 400 Homestead Ave., Scottdale, with public drunkenness following an incident on North First Street on Jan. 2.

Harry Lee Metts, 27, of 21 Pershing Court, Uniontown, was cited for public drunkenness following an incident in a parking lot in Connellsville on Jan. 1, Connellsville police said.

Denise Lynn Adams, 38, of Apt. 5, 123 W. Apple St., Connellsville, was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident at her apartment building on Dec. 31, Connellsville police said.

Connellsville police said Thomas L. Dean, 40, of 160 W. Crawford Ave., Connellsville, was charged with simple assault, harassment, possession of a controlled substance and public drunkenness following an incident at his residence on Jan. 1.

Phone scam attempted
Southwest Regional police are warning area residents not to withdraw money from their bank accounts if they are notified that they have won a contest. A 91-year-old Belle Vernon woman received such a call Thursday in which she was also told that a taxi would pick her up. A short while later a woman arrived at her home in a black and white car and said the woman was to go with her to pick up the money. The driver left when the 91-year-old told her she was calling the police.

Driver cited
State police at Waynesburg cited Colby Leckey, 25, of Uniontown for careless driving and failing to wear a seat belt following a one-vehicle accident on Browns Creek Road in Morris Township Friday at 9:35 a.m.
According to police, Leckey’s vehicle crossed over the road and struck an embankment, causing disabling front end damage. Leckey told police he fell asleep while driving. He suffered a minor injury.

Fence damaged
Jeremiah James Davis, 18, of Waynesburg, was charged with criminal mischief by state police after striking the fence and gate at the Waynesburg Beagle Club with his vehicle. The incident occurred Jan. 5 at 10 p.m.

Two vehicles disabled
According to state police, two vehicles received disabling damage and two drivers suffered injuries in an accident Thursday at 1:25 p.m. on Indian Creek Valley Road at Poplar Run Road. According to police, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by Brandyce Glisan, 27, of Markleysburg made a left turn onto Poplar Run Road in front of a vehicle driven by Paul Ernst Jr., 59, of Morgantown, W.Va.
Ernest vehicle rolled, striking a fire hydrant and coming to rest on its roof. Glisan’s vehicle spun and came to a stop against a guide rail.

Teens cited
State police charged Christian Fisher, 18, of Markleysburg, and an unidentified 16-year-old for providing false information to police in an attempt to hinder the apprehension of Mickey Fisher Sr., 46, of Markleysburg on an active arrest warrant. The incident occurred Friday at 4 p.m. at 277 Thomas Rd., Henry Clay Township.

Juveniles cited
State police filed juvenile complaints against a Uniontown boy and a Point Marion girl, both 16, after they allegedly allegedly violated drug laws by exchanging pills at Adelphoi Village Academy, 25 S. Main St., Fairchance, on Friday at 1:45 p.m.

DUI charged
Celeste Woods, 41, was cited for driving under the influence following an accident Thursday at 5:10 p.m. on Matthew Drive. According to state police, Woods told them she was talking on her cell phone and looked down. When she looked up, it was too late to avoid a collision with a vehicle driven by Rodney Sumey, 18, of Uniontown, who was stopped for a red light. There was minor damage to both vehicles. Melanie Sumey, 47, a passenger in Rodney Sumey’s vehicle, was taken to Uniontown Hospital for neck and back injuries.

Two injured
Two people received injuries in an accident Wednesday on Route 40 near Route 119. The accident occurred around 4:38 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Kristen Uhazie, 39, of Dunbar attempted to pull out of a business into the far left lane of Route 40. Kyle Karwatsky was in the far left eastbound lane and his vehicle collided with the Uhazie vehicle. Uhazie and her passenger, Kamry Uhazie, 16, of Dunbar, were both taken to Uniontown Hospital for treatment. Karwatsky was not injured.

Cars collide
According to state police, a vehicle driven by Lorraine Moats, 52, of Uniontown crossed into the oncoming lane on Walnut Hill Road, colliding with a vehicle driven by Betty Gibson, 44, of Smithfield. The accident occurred Thursday at 9:41 a.m. Both drivers were taken to Uniontown Hospital for treatment and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Break-in reported
Uniontown City Police were called to 59 Dunlap St. Saturday morning for a reported overnight break-in. Haileigh Thomas and Dominique Neil said someone entered their apartment through the kitchen window while they were out between 2:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Saturday and ransacked the apartment. Nothing was taken. The investigation is continuing.
