Uniontown police said they are investigating after two men were discovered burglarizing a woman’s home early Monday.

Officers said the incident occurred at 1:39 a.m. when Laura Garbutt found the suspects inside her residence.

When they spotted Garbutt, both men fled the house, police said.

Garbutt told officers that she recognized one of the men and provided a description of the second suspect.

According to police, Garbutt found a stash of her belongings gathered in bags inside her home that the intruders apparently intended to steal before she interrupted them.

Police said charges are pending against the man that Garbutt was able to identify.
