Police seek information on cache of guns

1 min read

State police are seeking information regarding a cache of guns recovered during an investigation into a suspected drug dealer in Hanover Township, Washington County.

Police said that they discovered 51 long guns, including dozens of rifles and shotguns, and four handguns during their investigation.

Two of the guns have filed off serial numbers, and investigators have said that they are determining that many of the weapons have been reported stolen.

Police said they are still trying to discover where many of the guns originated and said they could link back to thefts of firearms across the region, including in Fayette County.

The guns were found on May 24 and 25 during a probe into an alleged heroin dealer.

Anyone with additional information or seeking information regarding a stolen gun is asked to call police at 724-223-5200.
