Man charged
California police said Andrew McClellan, 30, of Oil City was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia May 26. Police said a search of McClellan’s pants pockets revealed multiple stamp bags, some of which had what police suspect was heroine inside. Police said as they were speaking to McClelland, they noticed several hypodermic needles behind him.

Quartet charged
California police said John Tedrow, 35, of Charleroi; Phillip Stanger, 27, of Coal Center; Kristen Mull, 23, of California and Cheryl Greco, 24, of Monessen, were charged with drug-related offenses after a traffic stop June 6 along Kakonen Drive. Police said a search of the vehicle revealed 30 stamp bags. Police said seven of these bags contained what police believe may be heroin. Police said they also found needles and a spoon used to inject heroin.

Charges filed
California police said Jordan Lagruth, 29, of Grindstone was charged with possession and possession with the intent to deliver drugs. Police alleged Lagruth was found with 11 baggies of marijuana in his pocket while at Third and Union street on Feb. 17.

Man charged
State police charged David Alexander Simms, 44, of Uniontown after he was apprehended for robbing seven juveniles of $24 in jewelry and threatening them with a knife Thursday at 3:12 p.m. at a residence at 50 Cycle Avenue.

Theft by deception
State police are continuing to investigate a “quick change” form of theft by deception at Shop & Save after someone duped the business out of $149.57 at 6:07 p.m. Wednesday.

Items stolen
Guy Alan Clark, 60, of Chalk Hill told state police someone entered the front door of his residence at 253 Redstone Furnace Road and used a screw driver to pry open an wooden footlocker. Police said U.S. currency, coins and stamps were removed from the footlocker along with a wooden framed picture of a woodpecker from the residence. Police are continuing to investigate.

Man charged
State police charged Steven Dwayne Thurmond, 32, of Connellville after police found drug paraphernalia on him following an incident at 1704 Kentucky Avenue in which he kicked in a door at the residence of Gladys Laporte, 79, of Connellsville at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday.

Man charged
Garrett Keith Weeder, Sr., 42, of Lake Lynn was charged by police after he admitted to allegedly firing a gun into the residence of Patricia Davis, 35, of Masontown between 1:30 p.m. and 1:40 p.m Tuesday. Police said Weeder fired approximately five shots from a .45 caliber handgun into Davis’ residence then fled the scene on his motorcycle. Weeder was taken into custody by police at his residence. Police were able to locate the .45 caliber handgun with ammunition matching the shell casings at the scene following a search warrant obtained and served on Weeder’s residence. Weeder was remanded to the Fayette County Jail on $50,000 bond. A date for a preliminary hearing has not been set.

Credit card stolen
Eric Poole, 31, of Mount Pleasant reported to state police he was contacted by First Niagara Bank about suspicious transactions on his account after he discovered his credit card was stolen from his vehicle on May 18 while it was parked in the lot of Al’s Pub. Police said Poole’s check card was used at multiple locations in Fayette County.

Fire investigation
The state police Fire Marshal is investigating a fire that occurred at 4:15 a.m. May 31 at 57 Green Street at a residence owned by Susan Marie Briggs of Carmichaels. Police said the fire was discovered by a neighbor who contacted Fayette 911 and extinghished by local volunteer fire companies.

Underage drinking
State police charged a juvenile with underage drinking at 3009 West Crawford Avenue at 8:45 p.m. Monday after investigating another incident.

Battery pack stolen
State police said William Earl Feniello, 36, of Connellsville was charged after he allegedly stole a Craftsman 19.2 volt cordless battery pack from Sears at 1500 Mall Run Road at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the batter pack is valued at $100.

No injuries
State police reported no injuries when a vehicle operated by Shannon L. Roberts, 56, of Everson failed to negotiate a right hand curve exiting from Route 119 south onto the Everson Exit before going off the berm and striking an embankment at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the vehicle rolled onto its roof after impact.

State police charged Justis Tyler Lucas, 18, of Uniontown with harassment after he allegedly threatened a 30 year-old male at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday at 157 Lower Oliver 3.

State police said someone stole about $6,000 of aluminum from Pechin Lumber Yard sometime between 11 p.m. Monday ant 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
