Five in running for Frazier School Board

Three incumbents and two newcomers will be vying for four, four-year seats on Frazier School Board in the fall election.

All of the candidates cross-filed in the primary.

Incumbent Tom Shetterly was the top vote-getter in the Democratic primary with 681 votes. Others receiving party nominations were newcomer Kevin Brown with 614 votes, incumbent Deborah Vargo-Alekson with 584 votes and incumbent Dave Simmons with 534 votes.

On the Republican side, the nominations went to Brown with 218 votes, Shetterly with 181 votes, newcomer Francy Angelo with 155 votes and Vargo-Alekson with 149 votes, according to unofficial results.
