BROWNSVILLE GARDEN CLUB will meet 5 p.m. Thursday at Hugo’s Restaurant.

BROWNSVILLE AREA MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION will meet 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, 215 Church St., Brownsville. Rev. Jay Polowsky will host.

CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS OF AMERICAS COURT NO. 260 is hosting a bus trip to the Rivers Casino on Oct. 18. There is a fee to attend that includes money back to use at the casino and a food voucher. Reservations are due by Friday and can be made by calling 724-628-7553 or 724-628-9627.

CHRISTIAN MEN’S FELLOWSHIP BREAKFAST will be held 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at Third Presbyterian Church, Union Street, Uniontown. The event features a full breakfast, hymn singing, intercessory prayers and a gospel-centered message. The guest speaker this week will be the Rev. Douglas Adamson, local speaker/minister from Brownsville.

CONNELLSVILLE AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY will hold its October meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at the Dunbar Historical Society Center, 42 Bridge St., Dunbar. There will be the opportunity to see the historical society’s collection and to learn more about the history of the town. Plans will be discussed for the “Pride on Connellsville” reception, “It’s a Connellsville Christmas” and the Dec. 11 dinner at The Cochran House in Dawson.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES OF SOUTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA is working to raise the public’s awareness that October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. It mourns those who have died as a result of abuse and celebrates those who have survived. FAYETTE COUNTY COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY (FCCAA) AND AARP will offer several safe-driving courses in Uniontown. A beginner’s class will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, and a refresher class will take place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 18 in Building D on Beeson Boulevard, Uniontown. HAZEL G. CLUSS CIRCLE OF ASBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH will meet 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Leader Joanne Young will present the program, “Celebrating What We See.” Lunch will follow the meeting.

REVERE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH will hold its next meeting 6 p.m. Thursday at the Revere Community Center. The guest speaker will be Jenn Soisson from Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania.
