Brownsville police are investigating after officers said a man entered a residence in Brownsville early Saturday and stole money from a man living there.

Officers said the incident occurred at 12:29 a.m., when the unidentified suspect entered the Cemetery Road home of Larry Tomlin while Tomlin was watching television.

Tomlin told police that he heard a noise and then found the suspect in the kitchen of his residence.

Police said a brief struggle ensued before the man snatched $30 that was lying on the kitchen table and then fled the residence.

Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident.

A description of the suspect was not available.
