Hearing continued for Uniontown attorney

By The 1 min read

A preliminary hearing was continued for the third time Tuesday for a Uniontown attorney facing drug charges after police allege he delivered heroin and other narcotics to a man in custody at the Uniontown Police Department in July.

Brian Joseph Salisbury, 34, of 716 Second St., Newell, is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, transmission of a controlled substance to a confined person and three counts of drug possession.

Uniontown police Officer Matthew S. Painter said the charges were filed after Salisbury, under the guise of speaking with a client, delivered heroin, Xanax and Suboxone to Aaron L. Yauger, 30, of Lemont Furnace, after police picked up Yauger on a bench warrant on July 25.

The hearing is now set for Nov. 12 before Magisterial District Judge Michael Metros.

Salisbury, who was admitted to practice law in 2008, has declined to comment following his arrest.
